1. What issue/ topic did you choose?
Digital Law
2. Why is this important?
People need to be informed of the risks online like identity theft, hacking, etc. They also need to be informed of the laws they must follow online.
3. Who do you want to reach? (Target audience)
I want to reach to people who are unaware of the laws online and those who are aware just to make sure they understand what the laws are properly.

Public Service Announcement
Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) educate people about issues that people have to deal with in life. PSA’s give people information about issues so they can think about them and take positive actions. You will produce your own PSA, lasting 20 to 30 seconds. Your PSA must deliver a short but strong message about any Digital Citizenship Topic, one of the nine.
You have just been hired by channel 5 news. Your first job is to make a public service announcement. Come up with a topic and research your idea. You must then create a storyboard that is clear and explains exactly what is going to be in your public service announcement. When you are finished your storyboard you must have it approved by the manger of the station Mrs. Hinojosa. Once she clears you, you may start creating your video using iMovie. Make sure your introduction motivates and hooks the viewer from the beginning of the video and keep his/her attention to the end. Read below for some tips.
* Your public service announcement should...
1.You must write down where your pictures came from on your assignment paper in the space provided for you. As soon as you take a picture off the internet write where it came from, do not wait until your project is done. Copyrighted information for photos, graphics and music must be clearly identified by source.
2.The introduction needs to motivate and hook the viewer from the beginning of the video and keep his/her attention to the end.
3.Please complete the rough draft story board first and while you create your computer project fill out the final story board.
4.The PSA must move smoothly from shot to shot and be edited with high quality shots.
5.Background audio must be kept low and not overpower the primary audio, please make sure it goes along with your project information.
6.The content of the service announcement needs to include a clear statement or theme and it must be creative and compelling to the audience.
7.All scenes must have sufficient lighting for viewer to easily see the project. • All shots must be clearly focused and well framed.
8.The graphics, sound and or animation must assist in presenting an overall theme that appeals to the audience and enhances your service announcement with a high impact message.
9.Graphics, fonts, special effects, and sound must be clear and big enough to read. They must explain and reinforce key points during the presentation. All text must be held on the screen long enough for it to be read.
10. All video clips should fit the story line. Clips should not be too long or to short.
You must tell me where all pictures you took off
the internet came from. DO NOT say they came from Google or any search engine! You must write down the exact address they came from!

2. Two out of three victims that suffer from identity theft are unaware of the source of the crime
3. A survey of more than 1,500 identity theft victims shows that approximately three out of four, or 72%, do not know the source of the crime, according to ITAC, the Identity Theft Assistance Center.
4. Of the 1,530 victims helped by ITAC, twenty-eight percent said they knew the source of the crime.
• Followed by computer-related identity crime (21.6%).
• Lost/stolen wallet, checkbook or credit card accounts for 15.1%
• Corrupt businesses or employees also at (11.6%)
• And breaches of consumer data accounted for 4.7% of the cases
5. Although all types of fraud declined over the past year, new account fraud was responsible for the greatest fraud amount ($17 billion). New account fraud, in which accounts have been opened without the victim’s knowledge, is harder to detect and is the most likely to severely impact the victims. Existing card fraud amounts declined by 38 percent to $14 billion from $23 billion in 2009.
6. Friendly fraud - fraud perpetrated by people known to the victim, such as a relative or roommate - grew seven percent last year, with consumers between the ages of 25-34 most likely to be victims of this type of fraud. People in this age group are most likely to have their Social Security number (SSN) stolen—with 41 percent of fraud victims in this group reporting theft of their SSN.

In this form of fraud, an identity thief will assume your identity through accessing your phone and utility bills and goes on to impersonate the owner of the information for their own purposes. These contacts are mostly sold to another party who will use it to fraudulently obtain money. Source
10. While victims are finding out about their cases earlier, it is taking far longer now than before to eliminate negative information from credit reports. Source
Homework Questions
2. Digital Divide affects us as students because we do not have the sam opportunity as people from other countries whho have fast and affordable Broadband Internet. This can affect us as a society because we are being deprived of the information available on the World Wide Web,
3. Mobile Access can impac our future because by not being able to access the Internet we lose touch with the world. We are not informed of events happening internationally therefore it limits our knowledge and efficiency.
4. The lack of digital access will impact us as a country if innovators in our society are not given the resources to create things that will help us compete with other countries. We will fall behind as other progress and become more developed.
5. Ways to improve Access Options are to find a way to make Broadband Internet widely available to our entire country at and affordable, economic price.
6. If no one knows what problems we are facing then there is no possible way the issues can be solved. People need to be informed to be able to make a change and impact our society.
7. To increase Internet access and create opportunities for communities, more businesses can offer free Internet to the public or libraries can close a bit later to help those that are notprivilaged of having Internet access.
8. Actions that need to be taken to keep Internet options for users and innovators are to keep public needs to be well informed of their choices and maybe even have the issue addressed on the news. By informing our country, some might decide to take a stand which can inspire others to do the same.

Digital Access
The lack of Digital Access will have an immense effect on my future if changes are not made. Without Digital Access, our country, our society and the people of the United States will fall behind other countries that get faster Internet. The information that is available will be harder to access while other countries get this information faster since it's just a click away. The communication via Digital Access is vital to our success as a country. It is a useful and quick form of communication that must be available in order to have a strong economy. If changes are not made, my children, the children of my children, and generations that follow will be deprived of this useful source to communicate and expand the horizons of their knowledge. Digital Access should be widely available to the entire world from the smallest to the largest countries. Digital Access everywhere could have a positive impact to bring awareness to problems in our society and could initiate a change that would affect us all.
